I flew out today to start rehearsals for our upcoming tour with Slipknot. I've been very fortunate this past year with time off. Being able to work from home, and in turn, spend time with my loved ones is getting the best of both worlds. Now, it's back to the grind and I'm looking forward to seeing you all, my other family, on this stretch. Let's do this!
While in flight, I found a song from my past that, looking back now, seems to have had a direct influence on my writing. Heh, I'm not the only jealous lunatic when it comes to love.
"Run For Your Life" from The Beatles' Rubber Soul

Hey Claudio, in terms of blogging here, is there anything you're looking for from us in return?
Are we just sharing?
Some I'm listening to the song... HA!
I'm married, been with my wife since we were teenagers, so this song's pretty funny.
I can see the influence.
- Cheers!
Good luck on tour Claudio! I would come see you, but the closest show is in Sacramento.
And also, great song. Great band! The influence from them is very apparent. haha
Much love
Good Luck on the tour. Sorry I can't make it out, closest show is in NYC and Neverender showed me that tha place is very expensive haha. Have fun, and I look forward to seeing you guys soon.
Rubber Soul is AWESOME.
good choices.
I cant make it to the Mpls show =[[
lameeeee.
GOBAMA!
sorry...
i had to.
I have listen to the beatles since in the womb. NO joke really. I love them I have beatles tattoos. I am 22 years old. Luckily games like rock band will help the generation coming up not discover this amazing band. I will be at your greensboro show and the charlotte show. True fan and i love your work.
For some reason I couldn't sleep last night and I got to go to my numerous history classes today, and I think Im gonna listen to The Beatles. I have the anthologies. Some of the takes are hilarious. Im gonna try to make it to the Indy show. And I can't wait for my Neverender Box set. Take it easy.

I've been doing Abbey Road lately. The Beatles were alot darker than I think the casual listener realizes - it's not all "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" stuff. "Maxwell's Silver Hammer"? Come on!
Nothing like the Beatles, man.
I wish I could be able to see the show you're working so hard on now (haha, hard on), but the LA date is my first drum line competition of the season. :<
I'll be there in spirit.
I propose for a Beatles cover, by the way.
oh man my favorite 2 bands coming together like that. The beatles cant do a coheed cover so coheed should do a beatles cover.
holy shit! i've been listening to that song so much lately. i listened to it when i was a kid and my dad made it out to be inappropriate for some reason. haha. have a brilliant, beautiful time on the road and i'll see you in tulsa february 23rd!
To: "Doe, a Dale, a female Dale." You can't forget about "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" OR the entire "B" side with Mean Mr. Mustard.
<3
To: "Donovan." How about Coheed doing a Coheed cover?
.....shut up it could work!
Good luck on your tour, Claudio!
I won't see you at the Slipknot show in Indianapolis... Only because I can't stand Slipknot and I don't have $35 to spare...
But i'm DYING for my Neverender Box set!
Also, I agree with you, popnfresh. Coheed doesn't need another band to rock a venue. We found that out at Neverender.
I think The Prizefighter Inferno and Davenport Cabinet should open for Coheed. That's all.
^_^ I'm very excited about this tour Claudio!
My friend and I went and got PFI tattoos together the other day.
Love you!
Epic song.
Good luck on your tour babe.
The Beatles were what I grew up on, what I listen to daily and they will remain my favorite band EVER. The Beatles are one of the most influential bands in rock n roll, and I can't help but smile whenever I hear one of their songs or see their faces.
In short, I fucking love The Beatles.
oh, yeah, Good luck on the tour! See you in Orlando!!!!!
popnfresh - "I Want You(She's So Heavy)" = Sexiest Beatles song ever! And the 'medley' = amazing.
Now "Octopus' Garden"...rarely do I skip tracks when listening to ANY album. That's an exception. If that means I'm not a pure Beatles fan, so be it.
Miss Dale: You're all right.
:D
Doe, a dale, a female dale. I would just say your not a ringo fan cause thats his song. Wrote it and everything. No one talks about the 5th beatle. The Engineer! He he responsible for alot of effects modern music uses today. so thank you Geoff Emerick! Popnfresh Coheed covering a Coheed song would be Great!
Good luck on the tour. I'll be driving up from Univ of Illinois in Champaign to see you guys at the Allstate Arena. I was really bummed because the floor was sold out, but I got a pretty decent seat, it's just not the same as being on the rail, a few feet from you guys, like at Chicago Neverender.
BTW, I looked up the lyrics to the song you mentioned, and I can definitely see the connection to your own work. Crazy (but good!) stuff.
I've always loved that song, It's absolutely my favorite song on Rubber Soul. It sounds so out of place for a Beatles song, yet so great. I recently put it on a mix Cd I made for someone and then thought "boy that's a strong message to send huh?"
It also reminds me of happiness is a warm gun. How Paul was in the background "Bang Bang Shoot Shoot" long before Ozzy was supposedly saying "get the gun" but you never saw the Beatles getting sued.
Loving the Blog. You keep writing them, well keep reading them.
Yeah, I am definately not a huge Ringo fan, but I suppose he was a part of the most incredible rock band ever so he must have had *something* to contribute. To be honest, the drum solo in "The End" was pretty good - apparently it's the only one he ever recorded because he hated doing them. I mean, it's not earth shattering, but he rocks out a little.
You know Alan Parsons also worked on Abbey Road?
I love how John Lennon got blasted for being a misogynist when he was just copying Elvis.Sheesh. And the Elvis song(Let's Play House) is such a drag. I mean, it's all sexy and cool and everything and then boom...there it is..."I'd rather see you dead, little girl, than to be with another man"...and just like that, my good feeling is all gone and I don't wanna play house no more.Meh. Whatever.
Good song Claudio. And i thought let's do this was Cris's catch phrase lol
run for your life if ya cannnn little girl, hide your head in the sand little girl! catch you with another maaaaaaaaaan that's the ennnnnnnnnnnnnd! little girl!!!!!
dude fuck yeah! that album is the shit!!!! so many classics... how about I'm Looking Through You, You Won't See Me, Drive My Car, etc .... so glad to open this page and see the album cover all up in my grill.
I made a dope set list for that contest y'all are doing... I'm telling you, you gotta play Devil in JC and let the ending bleed directly into The Crowing... I'd bust a nut right there, figuratively speaking lol be safe and keep writing!
beatles are the first good band i ever got into. i kinda feel like people miss out on a trully fun experience if they never listen to them.
Dear Claudio,
I can't wait to see you guys in Houston. BOTH dates.
However, In My Life or I've Just Seen A Face were the best songs of that album...
just saying...
you just opened up a much dark side side of the beatles to me than i was aware. Good luck on your tour Claudio! And i would rather have a jealous Lunatic who writes songs about me when it comes to love than one that didn't care at all, at least you got the passion!
Great album!
Claudio blogs + The Beatles = a little bit of joy on hangover day
I most say I really like the beatles there music is so far ahead of there time ; i love it.
I've been listening to coheed since I was in elementary school and i'm now a senior in high school. Absolutely my favorite band.
Nope, you're not.
I cannot wait to see you guys again in Inglewoooooood!! Always up to no good! :D
I've been listening to them tons lately, and noticed that they can be jealous assholes.
Yet, I can't stop loving the music.
(Yours or theirs)
We're all jealous lunatics when it comes to love...it's human nature...it's worse in some of us than in others though...i'll admit i'm deff. guilty of extreme jealousy
Mother Superior jump the gun.....
.....go fetch your gun......
And when I feel my finger on your trigger
I know nobody can do me no harm
In the pull of the trigger, now bite.
The American version of Rubber Soul (which you have pictured - Capitol Records - slightly different than the one in thew UK) is one of the best LPs of all time.
Gotta love them Beatles!

As soon as I read this I grabbed my record and pressed play... Sounds like it could have been co-written by Claudio lol awesome... id love to know more songs that influence your writing style!
