Hey everyone,
Just wanted to extend my appreciation to you for your support during our last endeavor. I had a blast on the Slipknot tour, so much so, I neglected this blog. Ooooops. Anyway, I found that the previous moniker was not conducive to my original vision for this blog, so let's blame that for my absence. Ghoul School is a collection of notes, pictures, sketches, etc from the road, home and studio. If the Lord of the Internet wills it so, I'll be posting an extra special gift this week to kick off the new title, so keep an eye out.

Good news to hear this blog will be a little more consistent in the future. I've been visiting the site at least once a day since the Slipknot tour started despite the fickle number of updates and I figured you wouldn't be posting much during the tour anyways. Keep being awesome! Your music kicks some serious ass. Can't wait for the next album!!
Way to make the AMPs your bitch at Denver Colorado, please come back soon!
Everything depends on which internet lord you praise... There's Ceiling Cat, Basement Cat, Lime Cat, Clock Spider, Senator Palpatine, Raptor Jesus and good ole fashioned Zombie Jesus.
Glad that the tour proved to be a fun romp for you, and hopefully for your fellow tour mates. It was for many of us, or so I will presume to speak for others. So cheers to the end of this chapter and on to the next."We drink to you, alas! So take a drink and we'll break the glass!"
And I like the new name, though I can't get the thought of the band "Girl School" out of my head for the moment. Those ladies sure earned their rank, but that is entirely a different subject in itself...
You guys were great on the Slipknot tour (as to be expected) hope to see you guys again soon, in the meantime.... ghoul school FTW!
Dude what's the gift? Sets face on fist. *Please be music*
I've got my fingers crossed for some more fun tour shannanigans. Deputy of deep cuts xD
You're Back! *hugs*
Oh, did i forget to mention that *I* am the Lord of the Internet?! And we indeed await your gift when you are ready to deliver!
:D
Also, as much as i loved seeing you guys on tour, it's good to see you're back on your blog to!
"The Ghoul School" is also the name of a Scooby Doo movie featuring the rough and tumble sprite of a pup named Scrappy Doo. Awesome.
/irrelevancy
Hope you liked the Star Wars vinyl. Maybe I was original? Maybe not. Hopefully, if you collect those, you did not have that one. The guy I was with said it was a "good" one.
Looking forward to seeing more of your blogs. I've been checking it every day in hopes of catching news.
Good luck.
Wicked. Totally wicked. I can't wait. I like the new concept for this blog.
Glad to have you back. We're looking forward to updates!!!
Good to have you back.
Definitely looking forward to this "extra special gift" that you mentioned!
Oh man...I've missed you! And your wonderful crazy ass blogs.
Looking forward to the future posts. I had a blast in Sacramento!
That sounds SpoOoOooOoOoktacular
its pretty cool but i do wonder why the logo to the right of the blog is a skull with a penis coming out of its head?
yes! I'm glad you're going to show us some of your art outside of music :) still looove the music though!
I had the pleasure of being able to catch You(Claudio and Coheed) in Corpus Christi. I went to see Coheed, I am a metal head so trivium was good, and slipknot, errr. Anyway I had the time of my life and hope to catch you guys when you are headlining. I also hope maybe you can come further south in Tx. We love you down here. Hope to hear cool shit coming from your blog oh and I can't wait for the Neverender I have preordered. Thanks and Keep up all the awesome shit you do!!!
Frank
So rad. Glad to have you back.
So we will be *learning* something I assume? Please, enrich us! More art would be super.
And thanks for doing the blog thing...it's inspired me to finally DO something about all the stuff crashing around in my head. Inconsistancy be damned - it's my brain, I'll do it when I can. Don't feel too guilty about your lapses!
how do you do so much? you must have a time machine or something.
i love you
happy saint pattys day
cant wait to see updates from the road!
cant wait!! also you guys should play at lollapalooza this year!!!!
I'm really looking forward to more of your incredible, crazy blogs :D
Missed you guys in Seattle on the tour though...come back soon! Washington state loves you!
Bleh
We need more Ohio showings.
I'm sure Cthulu would be fine if you posted a gift for his masses.
I had a feeling that the reason for the slow updates had to do with the business of the touring and all. Glad that you are back and going to be posting more. Really excited about it and really excited about that gift. Even if it's just a date or something. >.>
I can't comment on the most recent tour since I wasn't able to make it, and I only honestly, would have been going for you guys. I can comment on Neverender 12% though. Just might hold me over until the rest comes out. Just maybe. It sounds awesome. If the rest of it is as cool as that...damn man. It's going to be epic. Can't wait to relive that night, even if it was only one.
This is my first blog so I'm looking forward to all the craziness that happen. I really want to see some artwork.
yay! post lots of sketches!
sweet. I cried when I listened to IKSSE3 yesterday...I was a little stoned, but that song is so beautiful...
anyhoo, keep kickin ass!!
I got the pleasure of meeting you during this tour. I left shaking, in all the right ways.
Keep rocking, you've inspired me to such deep ends that I can't wait to see the new things you have in store.
I think I speak for everyone when I say Coheed and Cambria's mere existence is enough of a special gift for us.
That said... post it soon, I can't wait. =P
My order has shipped out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
o0o0o0 love the new name!
I will see the world and daylight in a few days for IT has arrived..... BEHOLD!
I had to run by and tell you how fucking amazing the boxset is. I am in complete and total awe of what you and the band were able to accomplish, and what a huge gift that this was to your fans.
My boyfriend and I attended Neverender to both enjoy your music and celebrate our four year anniversary together. Having the opportunity to pair two of the greatest loves in my life was one of the most thrilling and unforgettable experiences I will have ever lived.
Thank you for providing us, the fans, with such an opportunity. Many of us waited in the cold for hours, and I say honestly that I would have had it no other way. There was nothing in the world like it, and I have such chills now watching the DVDs that it reminds me of waiting under the building's overpass.
I love Coheed and Cambria and I am so proud to know that I am a fan of a band that works so diligently to make the fans happy. It's evident in everything that you do as a band, and Neverender embodied the love you have for your fans in more ways than any of us could have ever imagined.
I am sure you're incredibly busy with the upcoming tour dates and all of the signings, but I needed to say this, because without your ability to produce such enthralling music, so many people would never have been brought together in such a way.
Thank you for everything you've done, both on your own and with the band. There really are not words enough to convey my thanks for this experience, and for all of the hard work you've put into Coheed and Cambria since the beginning. I am proud to say I am a fan of Coheed and Cambria because I know that you and the other guys care so deeply about the fans.
Congratulations on this great success. I can't wait for more.
Wow. Ditto. ^
Okay, Claudio, I've been watching the Neverender DVDs nonstop since I got home from school today... First I watched the documentary/bonus stuff, then I watched SSTB, then I watched NWFT- And, to be completely honest, after hearing The End Complete live, I think you'd make a great vocalist for a black metal band.
In all seriousness, I hope we see a little more of that on the prequel album. Also, saw how you kept losing your picks. You guys did an amazing job. I'm gonna organize a night with my buddies where all we're going to do is watch the Neverender DVDs, front to back.
Hope to see what Chris Pennie himself can do in the studio with Coheed.
Is it just me or is the ghoul school sketch written on a bathroom wall of a piece of linoleum? I don't know. Anyway the Neverender box set is amazing. There are no words except I wish the university would have sorted my mail sooner so I wouldn't have to start watching them at 11pm, now I have to go through a whole day of classes before I can watch the rest of the DVDs. So far the documentary and night one is amazing.
P.S. I am glad you got the dragonfly the way you wanted it. It is highly impressive.
I was so gonna be pissed because it looks like everyone else got their Neverender and I hadn't got mine yet. I was relieved when I did get it, late, but yes I got it. Awesome shit from what I got to watch!!! Way to deliver!! Did we ever get that gift?? Are the internet gods not appeased?? J/K. Take your time.
Hey man, I was just checking out these DVD's and I wanted to thank you again for the memories. Neverender NYC was like the best four days of my life. That was the first time I had ever been to any city out side of Pittsburgh...haha. Well, thansk again and im looking forward to seeing you guys again soon.
Got our neverender box set in the mail yesterday, best 127 dollars i've ever spent in my life! The documentary was great, but what's with having two copies of the remake of dawn of the dead on your shelf? And for that matter, when is the Coheed and Cambria Movie going to be on that shelf?
My Neverender came with a piece of Trident Chewing gum. I opened the right flap and it was kinda squooshed like it fell out of a pocket right onto it. I hope it wasn't prechewed and then placed in the wrapper and then dropped into it during packaging. I still have it if anyone wants it??? My wife thinks I'm stupid for not having thrown it away yet.
The documentary, which I have seen only halfway through is great so far!!! I was blessed with a huge stockpile of beer right at the same time the Neverender got here. Awesome Shit!!!!
DUUUUUUUDE.... that could be CLAUDIO'S gum.
My bro's copy is signed.
He went to night 2 in NY.
I wish I could have been there, but I had to work :(
seriously...... I could cry everytime I think of that.....
I got to listen over his cell phone... :-/
That makes it more sad....
=(
!!!!!!!!
i hate the economy so badly right now......
i can't even afford to get the 2 disc edition.............
i want to watch neverender sooo bad. because i really wanted to go.
Coheed should play in memphis in may beale street music festival this year or next year.
Great! I'm interested in this new thing you'll be posting!
Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to show us!
I have officially driven my wife crazy(revenge I tell you!!). Its been a neverending Coheed fest since early February and it has lasted up until now since the Neverender is at home.
I did finish the documentary and it answered one question I had for sure. Now I know why the FooFighters drummer recorded the drum tracks on NO WORLD FOR TOMMORROW.
Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and Scrappy taught at the Ghoul School I do believe. Scooby Doo + you = awesomeness.
Mr. Sanchez, I will be attending your sayerville show. Prepare for the biggest, most awesome air hug humanity has ever witnessed. See you there
-Mike Seltzer
Hey could i borrow that scooby doo movie?
No? I guess i'll just have to watch neverender..again.
BY the way whatever band that was in that neverender DVD was pretty awesome.
what were they called again Kolchak & Cola?
No.. Corinthians & Can Openers?
no...hm...
I'll get back to you on that...kudos to them for they have occupied my brain non stop for at least 3 weeks now.
Just getting a chance to watch the Neverender DVDs for the first time, and they're completely blowing my mind. These songs are even more beautiful live...I'm sitting on my couch trying not to cry. Way to rock out, Claudio. :)
Also, a reminder: you promised me a headlining tour soon. Still waiting on that...
When we gon' see some new stuff?
p.s. The neverender dvd cuts out the last part of 21:13. crazzy.
I think that is because there were more encore performances for that night? I didn't go, but it appeared they were getting ready to play another song. They had to keep some things special for those who paid the money to go.
No, it was an editing error, I believe. It cut out the Iro-Bot bit on the DVD but it's there on the CD.
We're still hanging here for that something special you said you might post. All is well, I hope?
For the 21:13 thing it's on the CD, and he sang it live. I was there that night. Only that night, but I was there. (And Claudio man, it was awesome.)
They did play other songs, but they played all of 21:13 as well. With an awesome introduction to it. I really hope that wasn't cut from the DVD....>.>
I can't speak for the DVD since I was one of the oh so lucky people who had a missing disk. And looky there it was the night I went to. Technically the problem has been resolved. My replacement disk got to my home address but not here at college.
And I know that isn't the band's fault, so none of my complaining about the disk is directed at you guys. ^_^
Neverender was amazing, Al the killer is still waking me up for school. You, Mr. Claudio Sanchez, and your amazing band, are what will bring people back from the bland and irritating pop music of today. I would just like to thank you now and I will thank you personaly at your preformance at the Starland ballroom if your band makes themselves available before or after the show.
Keep it up,
Michael Seltzer
When I saw them in Corpus, They weren't headlining. They only played 4, maybe 5 songs. One of the greatest feelings I felt was when I realized they were starting to play AL The KIller. I was so stoked and freaked. It really was great and unexpected. I love all their music but that song sticks out for me. Awesome shit man!!!
3 things:
1) Neverender DVDs ROCKED!
2) Really really excited to see you guys at Lollapalooza :)
3) Update?
I check this blog like every day... I'm starting to feel like an idiot! Come on, Claud, you gonna give us that tidbit from the new album you promised?
Yeah I still check too....we're still here dude, whenever you're ready - we still give a shit what you have to say. ;-)
It's been forever since you last posted!! Im driving all the way from Florida to see you guys at Lollapalooza!! Cant fucking wait! I never thought Coheed and TOOL would be playing the same festival, so this is going to be a great experience...not to mention my friends and I are heading up a week early to go to Jersey in search of the Jersey Devil. Know anything about Clinton road? Hopes it's as "haunted" as everyone lets on.
Peace!! Have fun on the Heaven and Hell tour!
Okay, this is going to sound completely random and stupid, but here goes. My best friend ever turned 18 recently, and I wasn't really sure what to get him (apart from loads of Beatles memorabilia; he's a modern child-of-the-past along with me). We saw you play in Cardiff in the UK last year, and you met my friend in the comic shop when you did the signings (the guy wouldn't let me in, as we didn't know we had to get the free tickets into the shop beforehand). Anywho, he had hair just like yours - whether you remember or not I don't know.
Anyway, you're in his top 3 bands ever (and you aren't number 2 or 3). I'm sorry if I appear too direct or even rude, but I'd really like to give him something awesome for his birthday. If my comment doesn't get lost in cyberspace, is there any chance you could even just record a message to wish him a happy birthday or anything? His name is Sioni, and my name is Lewis.
I'm sorry again if this comes off across as stupid or false, but I'd appreciate it if you'd even consider it.
Thanks,
Lewis Llewellyn.
UPDATE motherfucker!
hahahahaha,
Brilliant.
"UPDATE motherfucker!"
I shook your hand as you went back stage both before and after the encore at Starland, yet I forgot to ask if you were gointo update the site! oh well, you guys made my night when Al the Killer came on. I was just thinking how awesome itwould be if you played that song a few seconds before you started with the intro, you made my, and my friends, night when you played that song.
With respect,
Seltzer
Please please please more updates, I need my coheed fix soon!
Also second stage, in keeping secrets, and GA1 changed my life, and I don't think I will ever shake my obsession. Not that I'd want to...
Keep kickin ass claud!
why oh why can't you update stuff?? knowing you have all this stuff but don't really go on it is almost like dangling a junkie's vice of choice in front of him... almost, the junkie would have it a bit easier.
Keep rocking out Claude!!! and PLEASE headline another show near ny??
(Guys... he has a twitter.)
