Bathroom Lighting is Actually Very Important
Sunday, November 21st, 2010Maybe some of you do not really pay much attention to lighting in your bathrooms, despite the fact that you start your every day by spending some time in your bathroom. It is also probably the last room you go to before you go to sleep. Frequently people only use a small light bulb that produces a dim yellowish light that makes your bathroom a dismal and unhappy place.
Do you think your old bathroom lights are totally awful? Imagine that the room where you start and end your daily routine only has sad lighting. Well, lighting is actually one of the most important elements in any room, including your bathroom. In the bathroom, a sufficient lighting is actually important because it will help you when applying make up, when shaving, or even when brushing your teeth and inspecting your resultant smile.
So, bathroom lighting is important for those reasons. Good bathroom lighting will also make the appearance of your bathroom better. You may need spotlights over the bath and shower, task lighting around the mirror and wall lights to create kind of pleasant milieu. You can use LED lights that emit less heat, set into the floor or along the base of the bath to create a relaxing mood at night.
By fitting all the lights to different switches and controls, you can alter the mood as you wish. Divide the space into zones. First is zone zero, where lights are suffused. Then, zone one, where a spray of water might affect lighting. Zone two is where they might get a little more splashes. And last is zone three, the area immediately surrounding zone two. Every zone gas its own lighting choices, such as ceiling lights for zone two and three, shower lights for zone one, wall lights for zone two and three, mirror lights for zone three, floor lights and bath panel lights for zone one, and last is mood lighting for zone two.
