At the beginning of 1900, many of the empty spaces in factories or garrets served to store objects. In 1960 this style takes a little more of life among the artists of the industrial slums of the New York City. The high ceilings, concrete floors, bricks exposed the walls and large windows served as a refuge and inspiration for many of those artists.
At present, many of these shopping industrial are residences and places more than bohemians, and are part of modern buildings. After the trend are becoming more known reaching Europe, where cities such as London and Paris were the first to adopt this style.
Currently, these warehouses and old abandoned have become beautiful urban areas and great value.
